Study Options in Energy Studies

Students studying Energy Studies can enrol as full time internal students, attending lectures and laboratory sessions on campus during 'normal' working hours.

However, you can study Energy Studies part time, for about 10 to 20 hours per week. Most of the degree program may be completed off-campus (via correspondence and on-line) without any on campus attendance. Studying as an off-campus student may take you longer to complete your degree, but removing timetable restrictions increases your choice of units to study.

A special feature of studying at Murdoch is the flexibility allowed in planning your degree. Many students combine studies from various areas in order to increase their general knowledge and skills base. Many programs can also be effectively combined as a full double major.

Almost any area may be combined with the Energy Studies program. Particularly appropriate combinations are with: Physics, Renewable Energy Engineering, Chemistry, Environmental Science, Computer Science, Sustainable Development, Business information systems, Economics, Law, Accounting, Management, Marketing and many other arts and science programs.

Employers look for people who are broadly educated, as well as competent in specific areas. Studying in two or more disciplines increases your career prospects, while extending your general level of education and allowing you to pursue more than one interest.
